For those of you who do not know me well I am not a girlie girl. I do not wear make-up and I do not like having my hair cut, even though I have a fantastic friend who is an excellent hairdresser who does my once a year cut.
The thought of having a complete makeover fills me with a terror that makes me feel sick to the pit of my stomach. I will be putting myself in the hands of my friend who does my hair and a couple of my stoolball team mates to do me over! My only caveats will be nothing permanent or semi-permanent, no fringe and my hair needs to be long enough to tie back.
I gather San Tropez has been talked about, I am personally amazed that I knew what it was. I didn’t understand a lot of the other things that they were talking about, goodness only knows what they are planning.
There will be photographic evidence of the process and the finished product for your entertainment!
The makeover happened. I went to the Walk in Wardrobe in Brighton along with some of the Chestnut Tree House events and fundraising team and Marcella who is going to be compering the Snowman Ball where I will be their parent speaker. The day started with dress trying on including one strapless one with loads of gems or something similar and a slit almost all the way up my thigh. I didn’t decide to wear that one for some strange reason.
Marcella and I selected dresses to wear. And then came the makeover. There was a professional make-up artist and a hair stylist who did my make-up and hair, funny that! Once they had done their magic, which was so amazing I didn’t really recognise myself, we donned our dresses and then had a professional photo shoot. At some point there will be photos to share.
