John and I went to the New Forest for our honeymoon back in 1998 so when the suggestion came to walk and/or cycle the circumference of the South Downs or the New Forest, I jumped at the chance to have this as one of my challenges.
In discussion with the New Forest Rangers it became apparent that it is not possible to walk the circumference of the New Forest. The New Forest Rangers have suggested a walk from the North West to the South East, only walking where ponies can go. The person who set this challenge has agreed that this would meet what she intended, so this is what I will be doing.
I will be doing this in stages and hope I don’t meet any snakes along the way!
We have started and walked a small section around Hale and Hale Purlieu on the 7th June.
We finished off doing lots of cycling and walking covering a wide area of the forest. A few photos and video to follow
